Award Time

I receive this beautiful Award from Rose. I have been to her blog several times in the past but just now got to know her. She is in the same scrappin class/group that I am in. She is very talented and when she tested my very 1st script and I saw what she did, I knew I just had to have her be on my CT when I created one! And, she accepted when offered to her! I am glad to have her on my team! Thank you so much Rose for this beautiful award, I'm honored to be considered a friend!

These were made by Peta! The 1st one was made with my Marbled Frame Scirpt. What pretty blue Flowers! The corners are hers and do NOT come with the script! The 2nd was made with my New Decorative Frame Script (this script comes with these borders!) Thanks so much for sharing Peta!!

These were made by Rose. The 1st two were made with the Marbled Frame. The other 3 were made with the Decorative Frame. Did you notice on the 3rd frame that there is no corners? Thats because the Decorative Frame Script is open-ended. Which means that the corner layers were left unmerged. You can delete them or add what ever you want!! Thanks for sharing these Rose!!!!

These were made by Teri! Of course the 1st is with the Marbled Frame...Isn't she just the cutest?? The 2nd, I really like how she made the glass oval over the pix. She used this frame and made some beautiful Stationary for her e-mail with it!! Yes, you may do that to with the results that you make from my scripts as long as you do what Teri did...credit me at the bottom and tell people where they can get the frame from!!

Teri aslo made her 1st LO with this frame script!! She has been asking me questions about LOs & such and she sent this to me. If this is her very 1st LO....she did great!!

I am so proud of my Angels and I know that I chose the right group of Ladies!!! Here is Teri's LO...

I just had to tell/show you all something...1st let me tell you about a new, very dear, friend. Her name is Candie and she is from my home state *LOL* I had talked to her a couple of times about a few months back, but lost touch. Well, we just started talking again because she was inquiring about one of my scripts.

'Cookie Perfections'

I know that Thanksgiving is Thurs. but I just can't stop thinking ahead to Christmas! That is my all time favorite Holiday! Not only are we to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, but it is a great time to really spend some time with my family! Good quality time! Not just sitting around watching t.v. or whatever. We play games, EAT, and have a good time!

One of our favorite things to do is make Christmas Cookies, although we never get the cookie or the icing just perfect...we have a great time trying *LOL* How many of you strive to get the perfect cookie? The perfect cookie texture, the perfect shape, and the ever impossible, perfect icing?

Well, I was making some cookies in PSP the other night and I was using the smudge tool to spread out my incing to make it look more realistic and then those memories of trying to the get the icing just perfect on my cookies, made me stop and think. I may not be able to get the icing perfect in the real world but I can in the digi world!!! So, I have created 'Cookie Perfections' THE perfect cookie, perfect shape, perfect texture & THE PERFECT ICING! *LOL* I hope you all like them and find lots of uses for 'em!! Script Sampler Freebie & Introductions

Well, since I am venturing more into the designing thing and going to be making more stuff and selling in a store...I figured it was time to get myself a CT!!!! WOW! Never thought I would need one of those..but here we are! I am so happy to be able to do this!

I have met these ladies in my digiscrappin class and I happy to say that we have become friends! I offered the CT positons to them before I did a CT call to give them a chance to join me on this adventure! They have helped me before with the bookplate script and I was so impressed with their results that I had to have them on my team!! I may have a few more joining me...haven't heard from them as of yet!

So, I want to send a BIG Welcome to my new CT Angels....Jo, Peta, Rose, and Teri. I have added links to their blogs on my right sidebar under CT Angels...thats catchy don't ya think? I am so very happy to have them! Make sure you visit their blogs too! I'm sure you will find lots of goodies there...not only from my stuff, but stuff of their own as well!!

On to the Freebie! I have been working on two scripts (I was up till 6am this morning fixing them) and was still working on the this afternoon to make sure they are perfect! I use red on one and green on the other..so maybe you would want to use them for a Christmas LO. IF you want to make them any color you want..you gotta go buy the scripts! *LOL*

News & a Freebie

Well, John gave me more bad news the other night! As you all know they cut is pay quite a bit about 2 weeks ago...now they are taking away their gain sharing and they will not get raises next year! *sigh* Every 3 months if they met a certain # on thier metrics (don't ask, cuz I'm not even sure what all this is myself *LOL*) they would get a gain sharing on their paycheck. Depending on how they met this, depends on how much extra they would get....usually John got 80% of one weeks pay. We looked forward to this every 3 months...now they stopped that!

I have been so depressed about this lately cuz with 6 of us...it is making it quite difficult for us. Its very stressful especially since Christmas is coming. *sigh* I have been trying to see what we could do to come up with some extra $$. I have put a donation button on my blog and I have recently been in contact with Lisa Minor and she has let me start selling some of my old freebies (that is why the links are no longer active) and any new stuff that I make at her store. She has given me an opportunity that I just thought I couldn't pass up right now!

I will still give Freebies, cuz hey, eveyone wants freebies right? Its just now they will be for a limited time only, then they will go to the store. Some will go directly to the store but with a little freebie to match given here on my blog. Lisa doesn't like to charge alot for stuff so, all kits will only be $1 and CU stuff..like my scripts will only be $2. I agree with her, alot of people live on a fixed income and cannot afford to buy alot of stuff. I hope you all understand my decision and I hope you all can help support it.

In my search for something to help us out...I prayed to God for His help and His mercy. Guess what answer I got.......I was reading a Chicken Soup book, just opened to no specific page, and found this scripture staring back at me...

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

So, now I HAVE hope. I know that no matter our situation here on earth, my Heavenly Father knows and will take care of it in His time!! I hope this scripture gives you all hope too!!!

Great News!!!!

Hi everyone! I am late in posting this as I have been busy, sorry! I did take Kayla to the Dr. on Tues and they drew her blood to do the A1C test. That is a test that they do to check your blood sugar for the last 3 months.

At first, I was a little irrated cuz she acted like I shouldn't have checked her blood sugar. She just kept telling me that those little home meters aren't always accurate and that Kayla had to make sure her hands were washed thoroughly before testing...blah..blah..blah!

That should be glad that I worry about my child and that I will have her checked if I think there is a problem! I get aggraved when Dr. act like they are supreme beings because of what they do! If they want to test her for something...then they just expect us to go along with it and say o.k. But I guess if you ask them to do something..it must blow their ego or something.. IDK.

All I know is that when they took her blood they did an instant test and it was 101! YAH! We had to wait for the results for the A1C. They actally called me that afternoon about it which was fast. A normal persons overall number should be between 4-7...Kaylas was 5.8!!!!!! WHOO HOO! I was soooo excited. I am relieved, but I am using this as a semi-wake up call. With diabetes on both sides of the family, I am going to start taking extra percautions for my children!

Peppermint Candy Script

Hey all...I have to address an issue first, so all you wonderful, loyal reader (& guest readers) please ignore me for a minute or two! I want to say that I love to give away freebies!! I like to get them so I give them! But scripts are a little bit more work than what some may realize, especially if there is a problem and you have to try to figure it out. I appreciate all those that have gotten my previous scripts and have made wonderful creations and I hope to make more that you will enjoy! As for them being PTU..I don't feel that they are unreasonablely priced! You can not go into a scrap store and buy a particular item, go home and use it, then a week later decide you want to use it on a different LO, go back to the store and expect them to give you the same item again for free! It doesn't work like that in scrap stores. But it DOES work like that here in the Digi Scrap World!! Once you buy it (or get it as a freebie) you can use 1000 times if you like without having to pay that designer another penny! I think that is awesome & I'm sorry if some of you out there think otherwise! As far as putting a donations button vs a buy now button...that is my right to put whatever button I want!! You have a choice, buy it or don't. I am not trying to sound mean but I don't like some comments and I wanted to address these 'issues'.

O.k. Rant is over!!! So sorry about that you all, but I think that some people should respect these designers out there making this stuff and not think that everything has to be free!

I have a cute little script for you all!! It makes peppermint candies!! YAH!! Who doesn't love peppermints??? With this script you can make such a variety of candies..endless possibilities!! You have the abilitlty to choose the swirl color and backgound color (like red & white, green & white, blue & pink..whatever you want!! This script uses no outside filter although I do suggest adding a glass effect with Eyecandy to make a more realistic looking candy! Thats what I did. Here is a preview...

QPs and LO Share!

This is the 2nd part to the post! (it was so long had to make several posts *LOL*) Lots to share! I have made a LO using one of Leaonna's newest kit...Away in a Manger' This kit is just too cute for words. I didn't get to make the LO that I wanted cuz I didn't have the patience at the time to go thru 12-15 DVD plus an external hard drive looking for the pix I wanted. Maybe soon, I'll find them. My kids were in a Christmas play last year and Kayla & Dana were angels, of course, and Andy, Nick & Ruby were little sheep. This kit, which, hence the name, has stuff to create your own little manger and that would have looked so cute with those pix! *sigh* When I get my pix more organized I'll make it (or just wait till this years play *hee hee*) Back on track..here is my LO of Dana. Christmas Bracket Frames

O.k. Where to start? Got lots of stuff to say and to share! I don't know if many know this but my mom is diabetic and when she checks her blood sugar, if Kayla is over there, she will let mom check hers too. I guess its a comfort thing for my mom, so she won't be the only one being pricked. Kayla has done this alot in the past. I'll never forget when mom was first diagnosed....Kayla was around 5 @ the time and she had lots of questions (like always *LOL*), we explained to her what it was and what it does and what Mimi (what kids call her) has to do to keep it under control.

Even at that age, Kayla was intriqued (did I spell that right?), she would even let mom prick her once in awhile. She has aways loved science and had asked for a microscope for Christmas that year! Well, we bought her one. When mom would prick her finger Kayla would go get a sample from her and put it on her slide, put it under the microscope and then draw what she saw. She looked so cute being like a little scientist. That what she wants to be when she grows up she said.

Well, one day, after looking at her sample, she ran up to my mom and said, "Mimi, I love you & when I grow up, I will be a scientist and find a cure for all thats wrong with you!" We cried! She is 12 now & she still says that she wants to be a scientist! How cool is that...she may just find a cure one day!

Anyways, back to mom pricking her finger over the weekend, I'm glad she did!. Mom called me cuz Kaylas sugar level was over 200! Of course we were concerned. So mom waited till morning to take it again on a fast and it was still high...like 170 I think. Diabetes runs on both sides of the family. I made her a Dr. appoint tomorrow morning so hopefully with diet and exercise we can get this under control & won't have to resort to meds! I'm praying for that!!

1st off..Peta has given me the 'This blog has Heart' award! Thank you so much hun! I have already received this award a couple of times, so I am not required to pass it on! One of these days I'm gonna put all my awards in the sidebar and who they are from..cuz I'm so proud of them!! Thanks so much! I had to share these! Here are just a few examples that some have made using the heart bookplate scipt (1 out of the set of 4). The possibilities with these scripts are endless! And think...you can use them over & over again! You can't do that @ a traditional scrapbook store! *LOL*

Thanksgiving kit...4 Scripts & an award!!

I am a little sad today! Been having trouble @ pre-k again. I am at a lose as to why these people are behaving the way that they are. Its like they either don't believe me or they just don't care! I know that teacher does not watch them kids the way she is supposed to and I'm not going to tolerate it anymore! I tried to get Andy switched to another class but all 3 classes are full and they can't move him they said. So, if I don't want him in that class, I have to keep him home and wait till a spot opens up in another class. Which is really not fair to him, he likes school!

My nephew said his teacher left him outside on the playground @ recess and that a different teacher had to walk him into his class! What is it going to take for these people to wake up...A child in the hospital or worse..go missing?? Well, it won't be my child!

I just have to think of his well being right now! I can teach him the same, if not more, than what he is learning there, but without all the bad stuff! You know...he came home a couple of weeks ago (my neice & nephew too..all 3 in same class) calling everyone a 'punta' (don't know if I spelled that right..I don't speak or write spanish) and for those who may not know what that is...it means bitc* in spanish! What a thing for him to learn and the teacher says hes not learning that at school! I kinda am at a lose really as what to do..it doesn't seem that the super-intendent is all that worried about the situations AGAIN. But the school board is having another meeting in early Dec..maybe I'll just add my name to the agenda and see what the school board had to say about all this! Please pray for us!

It has been a very long week for me..Sorry if I'm just rambling on. I'm trying to play blog catch up but what I really need to do is play sleep catch up! *LOL* It is 2:30a.m.

So, let me get on to the goodies! I have a fall kit for ya! Although it was meant to be a full sized kit, I think it winded up being tagger sized. Not sure *LOL* The papers are 12x12 but the elements ended up a little on the small size I think! I still hope you all like it! The name of the kit is 'Thankful' Let me tell you why. I got an e-mail from one of my yahoo groups about a woman who witness her 3 children being murdered in front of her and she was left for dead. It was terrible but her outlook amazed me! That is the reason that I named this kit 'Thankful' (and because its close to Thanksgiving *LOL*) I really do have a lot to be thankful for. Even though my children are experiencing trouble with school...they are alive and healthy. Even though my husband got a pay cut...we are fed, warm, clothed, etc! We have a God that loves us and will get us thru!! And so much more!

Halloween QPs

I know that Halloween & Trick or Treating is over but that just means that everyone is ready to scrap their pix, right? Well, I made you a couple of QPs for that!! I use 3 of Leaonna's kits for these! I hope you all like them!!

Before I post them...I want to say Thank You to all those that have sent me some very thoughtful e-mails concerning my family's needs and all the wonderful comments that you all have left on my work here and on 4shared! It really means so much to me! I love reading your comments...keep them comin' *LOL*

I have made so many friends in the digiscrappin community and you all mean so much to me! I am still new to this & you have accepted me as I am & for that I am grateful!
