I am uploading this Freebie from Wendy's right now! *lol* We are taking a vacation. Yah! Well, 1st we are driving to Ohio to take my mom up to stay with my sister for awhile, and we will visit them for a few days too. My younger sister was in a car accidenet the other day and is in pain, they said she may have broken something in her back..don't know everything yet. She goes to the specialist on July 1st. Thats why Mom wants to go stay with her for a while.
We were originally supposed to go to Ohio this weekend and stay with 1 of my friends..we were planning on going to a concert...well, with this with my sister, I am not taking my children with my and my friend pretty much told me that I can't bring them and stay at her house with them... How freaking rude was that??? We have been friends for over 20 years...it not only hurt my feelings but really PISSED me off!! I told her that if my kids were not welcomed, neither was I. How could she say that, be so mean? Yes, I understand that she just wanted it to be us and have an adult weekend free of kids, but when circumstances come up and things change, she should have been more supportive instead of pretty much saying we could not come up and stay with her if we brought the kids...not to mention she had our tickets given away before I even told her whether or not we was still gonna come up there...oh well..hope she has fun at the concert.
But, on a happy note.....a friend of mine that I've only really been close with for about 5-6 months (but whom I feel that I've known for 20 years) has offered for all of us to come to VA to visit with her and her kids for a week. I know that she is an awesome friend to offer that...well, I've known shes an awesome friend anyways! I don't know what I would do without her to tell u the truth! Roxanna, I luvs ya honey!!
I had a big S4H project that I was working on for a lady at Johns work. He told me about it about a week and 1/2 ago. Her friend (like a 2nd mom to her) was turning 71 and she wanted something special done for her. She knew that I scrap and she had asked John if I would put together a dvd for her...scrap her some LOs and put it to disc with some music. Well, that is really my dads department since that is what he does, but I agreed. It was only supposed to have been bout 40 pix..so I was like, ok, I can do it in a weeks time, no problem. Guess what, when he brought home her disc with her scanned pix on them, there was 70! OMG! And to top it off, by the time I got the disc and some info on the pix, I only had 2 days to make it! Wow, I've never scrapped sooooo much in such a short period of time before! But, I got it all done and have to admit, I was pretty satisfied with the outcome. So was she. I'm glad. This is what makes it all worth it!! Others get to enjoy what we create.
I made a wordart that I was using on her project and decided to offer it to all of you all as well! I hope you like it. Its greyscaled for easy recoloring and is CU Okay! Hope you enjoy! Here we are at one of our favorite Cincinnati Restraunts...Gold Star Chili! Yumm! I love Camp Washington the Best (I used to work there and had a blast...and even waited on a few famous people!) We ate at Camp this afternoon before we headed out to VA! *lol*
